1979 FIAT STRADA SEDAN Lot of (5) Genuine Ads ~ RARE CDN Ads ~ FREE SHIPPING!
1979 Fiat Strada Sedan lot of (5) original vintage advertisements.
    DESCRIPTION:
Personal car, passenger car, wagon: Strada.
Strade's body contours were shaped for minimum drag in the wind tunnel. Result: 62 km per gallon* and a natural beauty of line.
In the Strada, a car not much bigger than a Rabbit, Fiat’s ingenious engineers have created room: door openings are big; leg room, head room, and overall roominess front and back are more generous than any other car in Strada’s class. Strada carries five uncramped people, plus 10.5 cu. ft. of luggage. Fold down the rear seats and you have 39 cubic feet of toting space.
Would you believe luxury? Strada is purring quiet, has soft, people-shaped cloth seats, independent suspension that soaks up road roughness. Front wheel drive pulls you around corners, through snow.
Price includes steel belted radials, power assisted front wheel
disc brakes, digital clock, portable AM/FM radio, rear window wiper-washer, 5 speed shift. Optional extras: metallic paint, sun roof, automatic transmission, split rear seat. All this, and 62 km to the gallon.*
*Based on laboratory tests using Transport Canada test method. Actual consumption will vary. Urban winter consumption will be significantly greater. Strada mileage rating 62 km per gal., urban estimate 54 km per gal, highway estimate/9 km per gal. ‘Fiat' and ‘Strada’ are trademarks of Fiat S.p.A.
    Strada: shaped by the wind.
In Fiat’s wind tunnel, mockups of the Strada were tested until a body shape was sculptured that beat all others in its class for aerodynamic efficiency. Beauty of design often results when form follows function.
Anyone who has tried to stand in a sixty mile an hour wind knows it is a powerful force. When a car travels at such speeds, it is literally forcing its way through the same kind of wind, and the more it resists the air, the more fuel it burns.
In the Strada, Fiat engineers set out to create a body design with the lowest air resistance in its class. The wind tunnel and the computer added a touch here, subtracted a bit there to create a body shape that slips through the air more easily than any similar car. Strada delivers a combined rating of 62 km per gallon.*
And Strada is quiet, and comfortable. The Strada is easy to get into, has lots of head and leg room front and back and more general roominess than any car in its class. Graceful ride on independent suspension, controlled cornering with sensible front wheel drive, steel belted radials.
Nice touches: digital clock, an AM/FM radio that unplugs to go with you to office or beach, 10.5 cu. ft. of luggage space, back seat that folds down to create 39 cubic feet of trucking space. Options: sunroof, metallic paint, automatic transmission, split back seats. All wrapped in a body shaped by the wind with grace notes by Italian designers.

THE FIAT STRADA. IT SQUEEZES 28 MILES OUT OF EVERY GALLON WITHOUT SQUEEZING YOU.
It took a lot of automotive art and advanced technology to do it, but the 1979 Fiat Strada has it. The room of a compact and the mileage of a subcompact.
[28] EST MPG [41] EST HWY. This estimate is for comparison purposes. Your mileage may be different depending on your speed, trip length, and weather. Highway mileage will probably be less. Estimates vary in California.
That’s more miles per gallon than the gas-engine Rabbit, Honda Accord, Omni or Horizon give you. And you get more room in a Strada than they give you, too. Along with front-wheel drive, a gas-saving 5th gear standard, and the kind of comfort you’d never expect to get in economy car.
And the Strada gives you something else none of those other cars do. A 24 month/24,000 mile limited power train warranty. One twice as long as most economy cars.
For the name of the Fiat dealer nearest you, call toll-free or in Illinois and test-drive the Strada today.
FIAT STRADA. ANOTHER ITALIAN WORK OF ART.
ITALIANS FEEL YOUR CAR SEAT SHOULD BE THE MOST COMFORTABLE SEAT YOU OWN
It makes perfect sense. After all, in a car you're not sitting still, you’re traveling. a If you drive only 15,000 miles a year, you could spend more than 400 hours bouncing over bumps, ruts, and potholes. So we’ve designed seats for the Strada that are wide, cushiony, and "much softer” than the Rabbits, according to Car and Driver.
STRADA. ITS SEATS ARE QUITE A WORK OF ART IN THEMSELVES.
Italian-style seats. Works of soft sculpture, contoured to hold you in on turns, keep you comfortable on trips. Add Strada’s fully independent suspension and a long, strenuous drive
    becomes a long sensuous one.
STRADA. MORE ROOM THAN THE RABBIT.
And Strada’s seats are set in an interior so spacious, there’s more room than the Rabbit for passengers and cargo.
An interior so "striking,” to quote Car and Driver, that it even has a steering wheel that advances the art in small cars to a new high.”
STRADA. LESS EXPENSIVE THAN THE RABBIT.
And Strada has something else very few other cars have. A 24 month/24,000 mile limited power train warranty*
One twice as long as most economy cars. Yet, for all this, Strada is less expensive than the Rabbit.**
The 1979 Fiat Strada. Beautiful. Comfortable. Original. Another Italian work of art.

ITALIANS BELIEVE IF YOU HAVE TO TRADE IN A CAR EVERY FEW YEARS, IT’S LIKE RENTING, NOT OWNING.
Trading in a car every few years is practically unheard of in Italy. Because, practically speaking, it’s not an economical thing to do. That's why Strada is styled to still look stylish when your children are ready to drive it.
STRADA. AN ECONOMY CAR MADE TO LAST.
Strada has "a look distinctly its own,” as Road & Track describes it. Proud, sculptured, beautifully rounded lines. A look designed to last.
And Strada is built to last. With a body so structurally sound, Car and Driver says, "most bumps pass
    under the wheels unnoticed.”
What’s more, Strada has thorough corrosion protection to help keep its body sound. Lots of it. PVC plastic undercoating. Cryla Gard blown into its body hollows. Plastic
inner-fender linings. A full 40 pounds of protection. And Strada’s been designed to carry all of it and still make gas last.
STRADA. FRONT-WHEEL DRIVE. EUROPEAN PERFORMANCE. AND BETTER MILEAGE THAN THE GAS-POWERED RABBIT, OMNI, OR HORIZON.
Strada’s exceptional aerodynamic design, along with features like its gas-saving standard 5th gear, gives it an economical EPA estimated [28] MPG, [
41] MPG estimated highway mileage. Remember: compare these estimates to the estimated MPG of other cars. You may get different mileage depending on speed, weather, and trip length. Highway mileage
    will probably be less.
And, finally, Strada has a warranty that lasts. A 24 month/24,000 mile limited power train warranty*
One twice as long as most economy cars. The 1979 Fiat Strada. Beautiful. Original. Designed to last. Another Italian work of art.
