You sit in a more spacious cabin and survey a landscape of elegantly crafted surfaces, thoughtfully positioned switches and an ergonomically optimized driving position. Crank the motor (which still sounds the same, thank goodness), pull the gear selector into drive (because very few manual versions will be sold despite the novelty factor of their seven forward gears) and ease away."

The original exterior paint is in outstanding condition, and the body panels are entirely free of damage, dents, and dings. The Porsche factory's paint-application processes, as seen here, are unmatched. (Be sure to view closeup images in the photo gallery to see the Basalt Black Metallic's special character.) Even mirror caps and lower-body trim, including the impressive front spoiler and carbon-fiber rear diffuser, are in near-perfect condition. The added gold stripes on the hood, roof, and rear deck (in a design derived from the 911 GT2's "Weissach" package look, particularly handsome as they cross the rear-deck, speed-activated spoiler) have been perfectly applied. Red-painted Porsche-branded brake calipers, as well as cross-drilled and ventilated brake rotors, show nicely through the open-wheel design. Headlight lenses have been smoked and show no sign of damage; tinted cabin glass and all other lighting lenses (including clear lenses on the taillights) are free of flaws.
Inside, the like-new condition continues. Leather seating surfaces and door panels show no wear. Lower-door step-over sills are free of scratches (another indicator of fastidious owner care). Every control surface across the dashboard and console is like-new, and every graphic marking is crisp and unworn. Instrument lenses-including on the dashtop chronometer-are clear; lighted instruments, including the digital driver-information system, are fully functional. There are no wear indications on the PDK transmission shifter. Black cabin carpeting is protected by Porsche-logo carpet mats. The sport steering wheel (with carbon-fiber paddle shifters) includes a gold band at the top-dead-center position, a visual reference point important on a car with this level of performance. The car's leather document packet and a Porsche-branded car cover and carrying bag are included in the sale.
