Castleton China Ma Lin Pattern 7 Flat Tea/Coffee Cups & 8 Saucers Rare Shape

This auction is for 7 flat cups with 8 saucers, and one bonus demitasse tea cup. They are all in the Ma Lin pattern by Castleton China. The Castleton trademark was used by Shenango from about 1940 until 1968. Each of the flat cups measures approximately 2 1/4" tall, and 3 1/2" wide, not including the handle. They hold about 8 ounces.The matching saucers measure just under 6 1/2" in diameter. This shape cup seems very uncommon, I found no other examples while researching, only a lot of footed tea cups. This set is in great condition, there are no chips or cracks, only light wear. Please see my pictures, and thanks for looking!
