    Description

What is the PirateBox? PirateBox creates offline wireless networks designed for anonymous file sharing, chatting, message boarding, and media streaming.
You can think of it as your very own portable offline Internet in a box!  How does it work? When users join the PirateBox wireless network and open a web browser, they are automatically redirected to the PirateBox welcome page. Users can anonymously chat, post images or comments on the bulletin board, watch or listen to streaming media, or upload and download files inside their web browser.
This instance of PirateBox comes in two flavors.  1) Ready to go in a Raspberry Pi Zero W or 2) To handle heavier loads,
in a Raspberry Pi 4 - with CPU Heatsink and Case fan to keep it cool under load and a Name Brand 64GB USB3 Flash Drive for extra File Sharing Storage
.  With both options, PirateBox comes on a 16GB high quality SD Card (PNY, Sandisk, or Samsung - No cheap no name cards).  It is fully configured and ready to go - just plug it in and start sharing offline.
The file system has been expanded from the default of 2GB to the full size of the SD card.  It also comes with some privacy oriented apps predeployed and ready for sharing.  A few of the apps included are: Intercom for Wifi Phone Calls, Signal Encrypted Messenger APK for Android, TAILS Operating System, Rufus to install TAILS on a USB Drive, TOR internet browser, and a few more.
